Der Soundtrack zu Episode I – Die dunkle Bedrohung wurde wie alle anderen Soundtracks von John Williams komponiert und vom London Symphony Orchestra, den London Voices sowie vom New London Children’s Choir eingespielt. Als Zusatz zur CD enthält er ein ausklappbares Poster im Booklet sowie die Meinungen von George Lucas und John Williams zu den Soundtracks der Filme.
